Seventy tales of the parrot (and the perfect bed)

I'm a huge fan of erotica, and can't wait to get my hands on Shuka Saptati, or Seventy Tales of the Parrot. The verse quoted in that Wikipedia article about the perfect couch for lovers is quite intriguing:
The best of the lover's couches
is higher on the sides
sunken at the centre
it will also bear the strong
poundings of a couple's passion
Yes, yes, but what if the couple is the kind that does not like to cuddle after coitus. They'll shift to their respective sides of the bed, and just as they're about to drift off into sleep, will slide back into each other's arms. Soon it'll be "You again!" and "Enough already!" and before you know it they're off to different couches, separately. What do parrots know?

(The Wiki article, by the by, is authored by my noble friend Ravikiran, whose fascination for Sanskrit literature is finally explicable to me.)
