Lingerie thief gives police the slip
Rahul Bhatia, via email, brings my attention to a site that showcases "blooper headlines," such as the one in the headline of this post, with its unintended double-entendre. Some others:
Another body found missing.
Two convicts evade noose; jury hung.
Iraqi head seeks arms.
Defendant's speech ends in long sentence.
The last would fit some blogposts as well. Whenever new bloggers ask me for advice (under the delusion that I'm qualified to offer some), all I say is: Keep it short. Keep it crisp. Keep it simple.
And don't say the same thing three times, like I just did at the end of the last para.
