Rankings, ratings, pah!
Yeah, so India has slipped past Pakistan in ICC's ODI championship table, but do you remember where we were ranked this time last year? Or six months ago? And does it matter where we are ranked a year from now?
All people remember is how you do when the big moments come. For every team in the world, the only moment that matters now is when the World Cup final is decided a few months hence. That's what the fans will remember 10 years from now: "We won it" or "We were almost there" or "We screwed it up." No. 1 and No. 3 and No. 8 won't matter in the face of that.
