The most powerful brand in India...

... is the Gandhi brand. And the Congress wants more of it.

As I've written before, it's a question of when, not if, Rahul Gandhi leads the Congress party. It's remarkable that despite the manner in which Indira Gandhi emasculated this country, the Gandhi brand still counts for so much in India. Of course, I'm not saying that Rahul should be punished for the sins of his ancestors. But it's a pity that the powerful position he will certainly hold in Indian politics will come to him courtesy his name alone.
