The way to eliminate honor killings
Honor suicides.
The New York Times reports that in Turkey, "parents are trying to spare their sons from the harsh punishments associated with killing their sisters by pressing the daughters to take their own lives instead."
I'm not sure you could call those suicides, though. And I'm certain there's no honor involved.
