Metronomic accuracy.
As if only a metronome is accurate. This phrase is often used to describe Anil Kumble's bowling, and indeed, his first over has been, well, metronomic.
Zaheer Khan's first-spell figures were 8-0-39-1. The runs column does not indicate how well he bowled. Universal Cliche: The figures hide more than they reveal.
