This is a pendulum
Lalu Prasad Yadav is on TV in the morning, talking about the situation in Bihar. He holds up an old grandfather clock for the reporters, and points to its pendulum. "Isko dekho," he says, "isko kahte hai pen-dew-lum." ("Look at this. This is called a pen-dew-lum.") And then he smiles.
Asked about the rumour that KPS Gill maye be posted to Bihar as a special advisor to the governor to control crime, Lalu says: "KPS Gill aayega, Bihar ki janta ko goli maarega." ("KPS Gill will come and shoot the people of Bihar.") He looks unhappy.
