Inaugurating a pool
Inzamam-ul-Haq is taken to inaugurate a swimming pool after the press conference. I follow, musing that perhaps he might decide to jump in to cool his aching body. He goes to the steps where he is supposed to cut a ribbon. The ribbon waits. There are no scissors. The ribbon smirks.
Then a lady comes bearing a tray full of flowers, and on it, scissors. The ribbon sighs. Inzamam ends its misery. Then one of the officials says to Inzamam: “Come and see the water.” Inzamam walks to the pool, peers inside, and contemplates something.
