Cut a monster in half...

... and you get two monsters.

Anyone who thought that Raj Thackeray's leaving the Shiv Sena would weaken the party should think again: it hasn't weakened the beast, but led to two of them where earlier there was one. The Indian Express reports:
Activists of the Shiv Sena and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) clashed near the Sena Bhawan at Dadar today.

The police had to resort to a lathicharge and lob tear gas shells to bring the situation under control. At least 30 persons, including a policeman, were injured in the incident.
Sigh. If I go with ten of my buddies and you come with ten of your pals and we all have a hathapai at Dadar and damage public property, you can bet we'll all be behind bars. But anything goes when it's politicians involved.

PS: Yes, yes, I know it's an old meme, this monster-in-two bit. History nags.
