Arjun and Maya

The most popular names given to kids by Indian parents in the USA. Both simple two-syllable names, like most of the popular ones in the list (Tara, Shreya, Pranav, Samir, Nikhil, Arnav, Rishi, and Rahul). But why do most Indian girls' names that come to mind end in vowels? Any explanations?
