Honesty pays, it would seem

Gautam Goswami, a bureaucrat from Bihar who was recently named an “Asian Hero” by Time magazine, and was lauded for his honesty, has been offered a job by the Sahara group. He’s applied for three years’ special leave to do the job, insisting that he will not leave the IAS. And he had only good things to say about the state where he works.

“There is little doubt,” he said, “that Bihar remains the best place to work in because it challenges you to work hard and apply your creative energies."

Indeed.
