"The law now smiles"

Read this charming story of by a 72-year-old lady of how law and order have changed in India from the time she was young. Charming... and sad.

Update: Abhishek Mehrotra writes in to point out that the writer of this story wasn't a 72-year-old lady, but a 72-year-old man. On reading the piece, I realise my mistake. Guess the name did me in. Darn. I'm as bad as the cops.
