Protect us, they wailed
Rediff quotes S Jaipal Reddy, India's Information and Broadcasting Minister, as saying:
Indian editions [of foreign newspapers] are not being permitted at the moment because of apprehensions that the Indian newspaper industry will not be able to withstand the competition.Sigh. I wish they'd put the consumers first and direct their compassion our way.
