Abay motay!
Only in Mid Day will you find a headline that reads "Find fat cop". Prerana Thakurdesai reports that the Mumbai police is planning to conduct "a weight-loss programme for overweight officers", but are having trouble with enrollments. KK Yellambkar, a senior inspector at Kherwadi, is quoted as saying:
Koi policewallah mota nahin hai. Hume khane ko nahin mil raha to mote kaise honge?Hmmm. Mid Day, of course, has decorated its article with pictures of policemen whose bulk is unmistakable, and has offered Rs 100 (just over USD 2) to everyone who sends them an MMS with the picture of a fat Mumbai cop. So if you're in Mumbai, get yer camera out and go Fat-Cop Hunting.
(No policeman is fat. We don't get food to eat, how can we get fat?)
