The Hindu engages with a blog

Arun Simha draws my attention to a welcome interaction between a blog and an MSM publication, in which the blog criticises the newspaper, the newspaper publishes a detailed reply, and the blog then replies to that. The blog in question is Churmuri, while the publication is the Hindu, and you can read about it all here.

I'm impressed by the whole matter, but having read through the Hindu piece and the Churmuri post on it, I must confess that I don't have the slightest clue what they're fighting about. Perhaps you shall have better luck; perhaps it's just the savage sleep deprivation that tears at my senses; perhaps the words swim in front of me because Firefox is finally rebelling at my habit of keeping 83 tabs open at the same time. But I cannot, cannot read dense prose right now. Sorry. And well done.

PS. And ah, I can't resist noting that I wish the Hindu had engaged with the blogs at the time this controversy broke. No explanation was forthcoming from them then. Pity.
