Leave them kids alone

Mridula writes about the pressure put on parents to turn their kids into "winners." Like her, I find it disconcerting. All that shit will come anyway when they grow up (and if they're smart, they'll ignore it). They should be allowed to enjoy their childhood peacefully. It is a shame that so many children become a receptacle for their parents' dreams, instead of being allowed to find their own. Leave them alone, and they will find their way.
